Fall, Simplified: My COS Edit of 10 Essentials

In my 50s, I approach my wardrobe with clarity. No impulse buys, no half-hearted trends. My COS edit of 10 essentials focuses on clothes that reflect how I want to move through the season. Functional, elegant, and quietly confident.

This fall, I turned to COS. Their collection offers the kind of balance I value. A rounded Pima cotton shirt that layers beautifully. Pleated barrel-leg chinos with just the right structure. A-line trench with presence. A soft merino cardigan and mini skirt that pair like a uniform. Knitted trousers that hold their shape. Leather mules, a sculptural bangle, a hand-woven tote, and a coiled pearl necklace that add polish without noise.

These ten pieces form the foundation of my fall capsule. Each one chosen with purpose.

I really love that pearl necklace!!!! The barrel-legged pants would be cute…if I were thinner. (sad face)

I placed my order today. She was the first thing I got. Also the barrel jeans took me a long time to get into. Honestly they come in a variety of shapes and there is a style for every body type. They are pretty forgiving when they are the right shape. Some though, are TERRRIBLE!

You have a way of making me want to try things, you naughty girl! 😂 Should I happen upon “barrel-legged pants” out in the stores, I’ll give ‘em a try! 😊
